Another successful Window Blinds Installation in Whitefield

Mrs Ingham from Whitefield who has been a customer of our Bury shop for many years had new windows fitted in August. “New Windows”  “New Blind”  was Mrs Ingham  thought.  She rang  our Bury shop and organized for our expert estimator “Dave” to  go out to her home after her windows had been fitted and take a good range of “Vertical Blinds “ samples.

The blinds have now been fitted by Geoff  our long serving experienced fitter. Mrs Ingham rang the shop to say how delighted she was with her blind. Her words were “The blinds are beautiful as usual”.  She said there was a slight problem with the chain on one of the blinds. This problem has now been rectified.

Her bathroom is now finished and requires a roller blind. She is going to call into shop and view out  extensive range of roller blind we have on display.

Many of the blinds order at the “Apple Blinds”Bury shop come from previous customer and their recommendations. The shops staff feel that the reason for this is there pride in providing high standards of customer service and an after care service that is second to none.

Plantation Shutters In Bury – Happy Customer

Just recently Mr Johnson , a lovely young male nurse from Bury has his order for Plantation Shutters installed by our Specialist Plantation Shutter Joiner Geoff R (known as Geoff R as we have two Geoff’s working for the company)

Geoff not only installs shutters, he also visits customers prior to ordering the product from the manufacturer to measure and give advise on style and colour ect

On completion of the work Mr Johnson was so impressed not only with the price and value for money of our product, but also with the quality of it and the excellent standard of workmanship of Geoff that he got him to measure his bedroom window for shutters

Later that day Mr Johnson rang our showroom in Bury and said that he was delighted with the shutter and the excellent standard of professionalism he received from the staff at APPLE BLINDS Bury from his first initial visit to the Bury showroom in Bond Street to the installation of produce.  He placed an order with us and paid a deposit for the Plantation Shutters.

We look forwards to installing them in the next few weeks.

Apple Green Blinds in Sale

Apple Green Blinds Now in Sale!

[nggallery id=13]

Apple Blinds are seeing an amazing increase in the sales of Green blinds. Its supposed to be an unlucky colour they say, but its certainly good for increased business.

The colour seems to have got so popular sais our Manager  Sheila Green at our Chester branch ( do you think she might be bias !)

What is the explanation. ?

Could it be word association with Green Apples !!—Unfortunately we don’t think so, –the colour has gentle friendly undertones and such companies as Mcdonalds , the Co Op , Skoda cars,  have all adopted it in promoting their products and brand recognition.

The general public also seem to favour the colour and all shades of green are in fashion at the moment and here to stay for now it would seem.

The Apple range of Green colours is very comprehensive but so are all the other colours we do.

Our sales at APPLE have gone green !

Kids LOVE Apple Blackout Blinds and Grandmas too

Warrington Grandma Mrs Summers managed to get her Wooden Venetian blinds fitted cheaper than the other 2 quotes she had received and got 2 free blackout blinds for her much loved Grankids after she had come to our newly refurbished Apple showroom at Hawleys Lane, Warrington.

Mrs Summers on the prestigous Chapelford Village in Warrington ordered a full house of White wooden venetians , and in her top floor bedroom reserved for the Grandkids got a Blue and Pink blackout blind totally free.  The kids aged 4 and 6 , I think you can guess its boy/girl from those colours loved them , and the little boy is no longer scared of that “black hole” staring at him at night now.

Not only did she get her Wood venetians £70 cheaper than Hilary Blinds , she had the experience and reassurance of visiting our beautiful showroom to see the quality of our blinds, getting great advice, backed up by a free measuring service, and expert fitting.  She even gets a lie in now on a Saturday morning when the grandkids visit .

How to measure your window blinds

How to measure your window blinds

Accurate Measurements

To ensure accurate measurements please use a metal tape measure.

Take measurements in centimetres, to the nearest 0.1cm i.e. to the nearest millimetre.

Inside Recess or Outside Recess

It is important to understand the difference between an Inside Recess and Outside Recess specification.

Please read the following explanations carefully.

INSIDE RECESS FITTING

Inside recess fitting describes blinds that hang inside the window recess.

Measure the drop by taking the measurement from the top of the recess to the window sill in three places. Measure the width of the window recess from wall to wall in three places. Take the smallest measurement and use this value to specify your blind size. We will make all measurement adjustments to ensure your blind fits and operates correctly within the recess. The industry wide standard adjustment is 1.0cm – 1.5cm horizontal clearance within the recess.

OUTSIDE RECESS FITTING

Outside recess fitting describes blinds that hang outside of the window recess. Measure the exact area you would like the blind to cover as shown as a width and drop. We make no adjustment to this measurement.

Bay windows

Please contact our office for guidance on how to measure for bay windows before submitting your order. Measurement adjustments will vary depending on your choice of blind and also the shape and size of the bay window.

Bracket Options : Top Fix and Face Fix

All blinds may be fixed to the face of the window frame or wall, or to the top of the lintel. Brackets may be positioned so that the drop of the blind does not run into any obstructions like window or door handles.

Final check

Please check for the proximity of adjacent walls, furniture, window handles, wall tiles etc. when measuring for your blinds.

Apple Blinds Partners – Now Independant Retailers

Our Apollo restrictions no longer hold us back!

Apple blinds owners Dave Reynolds & Dave Brough are no longer part of the Apollo Blinds franchise, but we are still the same people selling and manufacturing blinds to our trade and retail customers as we have done for the past 30 years. We now have become an independent retailer which means that we are now released from the restrictions of a franchise, and therefore able to offer the same personal service that the partners David Brough and David Reynolds have always enjoyed, but with even keener prices and much more choice for the customer unlike our former franchise with Apollo Blinds we have retained all our retail outlets and look forward to greeting old and new customers, either at our shops or your home or office.

BASE PLUS is the evolution of the BASE. It’s a fully cassetted folding arm awning on two side brackets and wall accroaching brackets with double covered cable or stainless chain arms. The maximum recommended dimensions are 500 cm width and 310 cm projection with a Ø 70 mm roller tube. The cassette is composed by three separated profiles with an increased thickness. The brackets allow either a wall or a ceiling installation and, beside a microregulation screw that allows a perfect matching of the profiles, have an inclination system by passthrough screws.

Partners celebrate 30 years in the window blinds business

Partners celebrate 30 years in the window blinds business

When David Brough and business partner David Reynolds launched their first store, the UK hadn’t yet woken up to blinds.

Back in 1981, when the friends launched an Apollo Blinds franchise in New Street, Altrincham, Margaret Thatcher’s Government was still struggling to kick-start the economy. A few years later, the property market literally exploded into life, trends in home furnishings followed suit and the rest, as they say, is history. “We saw the potential future in blinds when the world was full of net curtains,” says David Brough. “There was very little competition around at the time, so we decided to take the plunge and went into business together.” After showing the vision to enter the blinds market ahead of a property boom, the two Davids are now celebrating their 30th year in business together by setting up their own company, Apple Blinds.

The region’s largest independent blinds retailer

The five Apple Blinds outlets – the original Altrincham shop, as well as a store in Cross Street, Sale, and showrooms in Chester, Macclesfield and Bury – make it the largest independent blinds retailer in the north west. David Brough believes that the new company will provide a whole host of benefits to customers, including more choice, better service and keener  prices. “The world of window coverings is changing and we are changing with it,” says David. “Our customers should be able to see every style of blind that is available to them on the market, which is why we decided to break away from Apollo. “Now that we are no longer committed to selling their products, we can offer more variety, with more fabrics and designs at our disposal.

“Also, because we make the majority of our blinds to measure in our own factory, we are no longer relying on a manufacturer, meaning we can offer the keenest of prices.” Prospective customers can see all of the products on display in each shop, where they can also test them out. Customers can also check out the full range online at www.apple-blinds.com or make an appointment for one of the staff to bring an array of samples to their own home. Apple Blinds’ expert staff will also measure up your home and install your chosen blinds with the minimum of fuss. Whatever you decide to do, you definitely won’t be pressured into buying a product. “We have never used agents,” said David. “All of my staff have been with me for at least 15 years.

They all have a wealth of experience and pass this on to our customers, helping them to choose the right window coverings to meet their requirements.” Check out the website to  discover the full range of window coverings on offer, such as roller, Roman, Venetian, vertical and wooden blinds, as well as awnings, canopies and shutters. For further details, pop into the Sale store at 179 Cross Street or call 0161 976 1488, or visit Altrincham shop at 2a New Street or call 0161 941 4369.
